Training
Local 104 is committed to providing its members with the highest quality training in the region. Our five-year apprenticeship program is designed to ensure every apprentice develops the knowledge, skills, and hands-on experience necessary to perform every aspect of the plumbing, pipefitting, and HVAC/R trades safely and professionally.
In 2021, we proudly opened our state-of-the-art, 18,000-square-foot training facility. Built with a strong emphasis on hands-on learning, the facility features a 15-booth welding shop, an indoor plumbing pit where apprentices install a complete building plumbing system from underground through finish work, a comprehensive HVAC/R training area equipped with mini-splits, VRF systems, electrical trainers, and refrigeration equipment, an extensive pipefitter mock-up area, and numerous additional training stations. This real-world environment ensures our apprentices graduate with the confidence and practical experience to excel on any jobsite.
Our commitment to education does not end with apprenticeship. Local 104 provides continuing education opportunities for all members, including code updates, manufacturer training, industry certifications, and instruction on the latest technologies used throughout our trade. By investing in lifelong learning, we ensure our members remain among the most highly trained, skilled, and qualified professionals in the industry, ready to meet the demands of today's projects and the challenges of tomorrow.
